Research shows that children need strong fundamentals of reading like awareness of print and the ability to distinguish between different sounds that make up words.
We will encourage your child to think about sounds and how they fit together into words in different ways through rhyming, blending and manipulating words.
Through interactive games, reading activities, storytelling and illustrating, we will begin to develop your child’s love the printed word!

Although reading is a complex skill, it begins with the basic manipulation of sound.
In this class we will be developing a love for letters and sounds, and build essential pre-reading skills through letter books, songs, games and writing play.
Whether your child is just learning about sounds and letters or beginning to read, this high energy, interactive class will engage your child while giving them a solid base for reading.
